On buying a property in Spain, most people will find the need to take on a mortgage. We assist both resident and non-resident clients sourcing the most competitive mortgage. We also assist them to avoid signing any abusive mortgage clauses, which are rife in Spain. We arrange, review, and sign a Mortgage deed on your behalf. This service must be hired before completion.
Points covered by our mortgage service:
- Source a competitive mortgage loan on your behalf
- Liaise with your lender
- Arrange, in tandem with your lender, the draft of a Mortgage deed
- Pass the mandatory consumer loan multiple choice exam on your behalf at a notary prior to completion (acta de transparencia)
- Review a mortgage deed on completion (over 60 pages long)
- Sign the mortgage deed on your behalf at the notary (POA required)
- Oversee correct mortgage deed registration at the land registry
