The Marbella Club Hotel is the iconic flagship of Marbella's luxury tourism, and Marbella itself is the flagship of Andalusia's tourism. Founded in 1954 by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe-Langenberg, it put Marbella on the map. Marbella would transform from a small fishing and mining village into the playground of the international jet set, which would make it its home. It is currently owned and managed, along with Puente Romano hotel, by the Shamoon family.
